Senorics is a high-tech spin-off from the University of Technology in Dresden, Germany specializing in designing and manufacturing affordable optical spectroscopic sensors for mass-market applications. The sensor is based on innovative organic materials enabling Near Infra-Red (NIR) spectra collection and analysis.

Goal

Anemone Ventures has been engaging in new business opportunities on Senorics’ behalf in Taiwan by reaching a wide array of potential electronics integration and assembly partners as well as dedicated medical electronics makers who have a need in specialized, customized and affordable sensor solutions.

Results

Traction #1

Senorics range of medical sensor applications can detect the presence of active ingredients, identify counterfeit drugs and more. Through various business development activities, Anemone Ventures has brought forward a leading electronic equipment manufacturer in Taiwan that holds a diverse portfolio of medical devices to assess the feasibility of Senorics’ sensors for their medical applications.

Traction #2

Active participation in trade shows is an effective way to identify potential prospects. Through an annual IoT exhibition, Anemone Ventures brought forward to Senorics a leading integrator of optical sensors with a concrete need for an automatic recycle sorting line sensor solution.

Traction #3

Anemone Ventures has introduced Senorics to potential strategic investors from Taiwan and China for fundraising purposes. The investors have launched concrete evaluation discussions with Senorics. Keeping both sides informed, Senorics was able to launch an effective discussion highlighting the main advantages of their technology which are of relevancy to the potential investors.
