In 2016, individuals and corporations alike depend more than ever on software, connected devices, and cloud technology to manage everything from day-to-day operations to sensitive personal and financial data. As the “Internet of Things” continues to expand, so too will the number of points that are vulnerable to attack.
In 2016 cyber-criminals can destroy critical infrastructure, steal intellectual property, hold companies for ransom, and more – from anywhere in the world. What will they be able to do in 2020? Attacks are increasing in both sophistication and frequency at an alarming rate; companies will need advanced cyber security measures in place if they hope to survive this cyber arms-race.
Recognizing this critical issue, AmCham Taipei is joining hands with three influential Taiwanese associations –Information Service Industry Association of R.O.C. (CISA), Cloud Computing Association in Taiwan, and Taipei Computer Association (TCA) – to host a Cybersecurity Forum on October 6th. Notable speakers of the event include representatives from FBI, Taiwan National Information & Security Taskforce, Taiwan Ministry of Justice, and industry experts.
