U.S.-based tech giant Google, Inc. is scheduled to move into the Taipei Far Eastern Telecom Park (Tpark) in New Taipei in early 2020, textile maker Far Eastern New Century Corp., the developer of Tpark, said Saturday.
The U.S. firm is expected to make more efforts to push for an "Intelligent Taiwan" project, which aims to use Taiwan as a base for the company to develop AI technology.
Far Eastern said the Google presence in Tpark is expected to lead the U.S. firm to team up with local innovations and cloud technology-based firms nearby to facilitate its R&D efforts in AI development.
