The American Chamber of Commerce Releases 2018 Business Climate Survey

The American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (AmCham), published its 2018 Business Climate Survey indicating that most members are optimistic about Taiwan’s economy. 81% expressed optimism that their revenues would grow over the next 12 months and 79% were confident about the outlook for the next three years.

AmCham Taipei’s member companies have deep roots in Taiwan. The trade group of 1,000 members plans to create an industry council with the government to help increase foreign investment in Taiwan.

In the survey, American firms have expressed a keen interest in the Internet of Things (IoT), biotechnology and energy businesses, encouraged by the government’s efforts to shore up the “5+2” innovative industries.
